Postmark

Transactional email service with separate transactional and broadcast streams, owned by ActiveCampaign since May 2022.

Focused on transactional email rather than campaigns.

Wildbit sold Postmark to ActiveCampaign in May 2022, and Postmark remains available as a standalone product. Sending is split into message streams so receipts and password resets are kept apart from broadcasts, and bounce and delivery webhooks push events to your application as JSON. Worth a look when the job is reliable product email, not newsletters.

Where it shines

  • Transactional and broadcast mail kept in separate streams
  • Bounce and delivery webhooks, with a test domain for safe bounce testing

Check before signing

  • No campaign builder or drip sequences: pair it with a marketing tool if you need them
  • Broadcast and inbound messages count toward the monthly volume
