What we do not do
- No partnerships. We have no partnership, reseller, referral or integration-for-fee relationship with any vendor listed on cpaas.co.
- No affiliate income. Links to vendor sites are plain links. Nobody is paid when you click, sign up or buy.
- No paid placement. A vendor cannot pay to be listed, to be featured, to change a criterion, to move up a ranking or to be removed. Nothing in the catalogue is featured or pinned; the default order is alphabetical.
- No sponsored content. Insights are written or syndicated for their usefulness, with sources. Syndicated pieces are labelled and attributed.
Products that share our owner
Some listed products share an owner with cpaas.co; they are named in the box on this page. Leaving them out would make the catalogue less complete, and hiding the connection would make it less honest, so they are listed on exactly the same terms as everyone else — written from their own public pages, assessed against the same six criteria, ranked by the same engine — and each carries the same short note, "Same owner as cpaas.co", wherever it appears.
How it is enforced
The rules are not left to good intentions:
- The catalogue filters by policy. Only independent listings, and listings that share an owner with cpaas.co and say so, can reach a public page, Find providers, the public API, the sitemap or the language-model index. A record with any other relationship stays in the editorial system and cannot be published.
- The engine cannot read relationships. The ranking reads your answers and each listing's recorded facts — nothing else. Ties break on how much of a listing has been checked, then alphabetically.
- A test proves it. The automated test suite relabels every listing with every possible relationship and fails if a single ranking, stability figure or near miss changes.
- Every claim has a source. Listings carry their sources, and a fact we could not source is left out rather than estimated.
Vendors
Vendors are welcome in the community: they can send corrections and evidence like anyone else, and are asked to say who they are. A vendor's correction is weighed on its source, not on its author. Being listed is an editorial decision and is never conditional on cooperation.
If this ever changes
A future partner programme, affiliation or any other commercial arrangement is possible. If one ever starts, it will be:
- documented on this page before it takes effect, with what it covers and how it is paid;
- labelled on every affected listing, on the card itself, wherever it appears;
- kept out of the ranking — the engine will continue not to read it, and the test above will continue to prove it.
Corrections
Corrections are made in place, with a public entry in the corrections log on the community page. If you think we have something wrong, tell us — with a source if you can.
