These are the terms for members of cpaas.co, in plain words. They sit beside the community guidelines and the privacy notice. They are not legal advice.
Your account
- One person, one account. Use your own name or a fair pseudonym, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. What is posted from your account is your responsibility.
- Approval. New accounts may wait for a moderator. We may decline an account, and we say why.
- Leaving. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
How to take part
- Be honest and civil. No harassment, spam, impersonation or misleading claims. Do not post other people's personal data, or anything confidential you are not entitled to share.
- Disclose relationships. If you work for, are a partner or reseller of, or are paid by a listed vendor, say so on your helper profile and on every offer you make. You may not rate or review a product you are connected to.
- Sources over opinions. Facts about a listing need a source the moderators can check.
The help board
- Help can be free or paid. Any fee is agreed directly between the two members, off the site. cpaas.co is not a party to that agreement, never handles money or payment details, and does not guarantee anyone's work. Agree the scope, the price and the timing in writing between you before work starts.
- Keep the first conversation on the site, so that a report can be looked into if something goes wrong.
Points and badges
Points and badges are reputation only. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything. They unlock trust levels (for example, posts that go live without waiting for a moderator) and can be corrected by the moderators.
What you post
You keep the rights to what you write. By posting it you let cpaas.co show it on the site and in its open feeds and API, and edit it for length and clarity without changing its meaning. Moderators may decline or remove anything that breaks these terms, and may suspend or remove an account that does; when an account is rejected or blocked, the reason is shown to its owner.
Changes
If these terms change, this page is updated. Continuing to use your account after a change means you accept the new terms; you can always delete your account instead.
